Step by Step Instructions for Installing a Mock Scrape

h1 This picture shows the location where the mock scrape will be made. There is one licking branch with a large area beneath the branch for the mock scrape.
Begin with weed wiping the grass down to bare dirt. Making the mock scrape at least 10 by 10. The larger and more visible, the more convincing it is to the deer.  h2
h3 Next, till area to soften and turn up the soil. The more the soil is worked, the better it becomes.
When tilling the area make sure to till from multiple directions to turn the soil over. Remove any debris such as roots, sticks, rocks, grass, and leaves.  h4
h5 Then moisten the soil by pouring 5 gallons of water over the mock scrape. The water activates the earth’s natural scent.
After adding the water then re-till the mock scrape. This mixes it water and soil to make a more realistic mock scrape.  h6
h7 This is the licking branch that is over the mock scrape. It is approximately 4 to 5 feet above the ground.
Ultimate Scent Mix is the hottest pre-rut scent on the market! This will start early season competition between the old dominant bucks and new bucks in the area.  h8
h9 This is an all-natural scent collected at the right time with a blend of buck-in-rut urine, doe-in-heat urine, estrus, tarsal gland, and interdigital gland scent.
When using Ultimate Scrape Mix spray approximately spray ? times over the mock scrape.  To reactivate the scents pour 3 gallons of water over the mock scrape.  h10
h11 When choosing a location for your mock scrape, look to install it along a field edge or in a small opening. Make sure there is an ideal location for a licking branch.
The most important thing that is needed is an over hanging branch over the mock scrape. If there is no overhanging branch then create one.  h12
h13 This is a perfect balance signaling to the buck and doe’s that this is a breeding zone where breeding will take place.
